About Chef Debby

I have always loved the process of cooking and fresh, quality ingredients. I was raised here on Cape Cod with its bounty of local seafood. We often harvested our own clams, littlenecks and oysters from nearby waters. My dad grew vegetables every summer and we enjoyed fresh milk, butter and eggs from my grandparents’ dairy farm. I also remember watching in fascination as our Italian-American friends prepared delectable from-scratch pastas, sauces and other tasty delights.

Through the years of raising my own family and entertaining friends and family, I’ve continually expanded my skills in the kitchen. I enjoy studying cookbooks, TV chefs, and trying out recipes often, with particular interest in delicious dishes suitable for special diets such as vegetarian, weight loss, diabetic-friendly and more.

In 2003, I discovered the Personal Chefs Network, an active online community of talented chefs from all over the US and beyond. Through the training, mentoring and support of my colleagues in this organization, I gained the confidence to launch Kitchen Capers Personal Chef Service to serve the Cape Cod area. It is now my pleasure to share my love of cooking to help clients enjoy healthful, homemade meals in their own home, with the ease of simply heating and eating!
